About the Artist
Tina Proctor approaches watercolor as a living medium—dynamic, unpredictable, and full of personality. Partnering with the fluid movement of water and pigment continues to fuel her creative passion and remains the heart of her artistic process.
Trained in advertising art at Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, NC, Tina built a distinguished forty-year career as a graphic designer, art director, and commercial illustrator while steadily transitioning toward representational fine art. Her work has appeared across a wide spectrum of clients, including retail companies, advertising agencies, banks, non-profits, newspapers, magazines, and corporate communications. An active contributor to Charlotte’s creative community, she was long involved with the Charlotte Society of Communicating Arts and exhibited with the Charlotte Art League, the Charlotte Guild of Artists, and the North Carolina Watercolor Society, while establishing an award-winning freelance studio. Her watercolor paintings appear in private corporate collections throughout the United States and in France.
In 2017, Tina and her husband relocated to Pawleys Island, where the atmosphere, architecture, and serene landscapes of the Lowcountry continue to inspire her evolving body of work. Immersed in the local arts community, she is an exhibiting member of the Georgetown County Watercolor Society, serving as Vice President in 2020. Her paintings have been juried into exhibitions for the Waccamaw Arts & Craft Guild in Myrtle Beach and the Island Art Gallery in Pawleys Island, and are currently on display at the Georgetown Art Gallery.
